About Me

Selfie taken a few years back when I was still wearing contacts. 🙂 P.S. Still love giant sunnies, they’re just prescription now.

Hey there, I am so glad that you have found my little corner of the internet.  My current projects include researching the history of partisan politics and its impact on public health during the AIDS epidemic in Minnesota as well as marketing and e-commerce consulting for small brick and mortar businesses.  When not engaged in either of those pursuits, you may find me building a home we call The Pegasus with my husband Sean and raising our son Lucas to be a good human here in the heart of small town Minneapolis.

Word cloud made from suggestions received from Facebook friends July 2022. This was a really fun process, make your own at www.wordclouds.com.

When we introduce ourselves to others, we often reference our jobs/profession or who we are in relation to other people and things.  If we were to meet on the street I might introduce myself as a librarian or an educator (although I am not currently working for particular institutions). I might tell you that I am a mother to an exceptionally cute baby or wife to that clever guy with the massive beard.  Perhaps I’ll share that I’m part of a sibling trio with my talented and creative brother and sister.  Or maybe, I’ll tell you that I came from parents who raised me to stick my tongue out, never be afraid to be myself, and try to make the world a better place. More likely than not, I’ll tell you more than you wanted to know about the Iron Range as I am just another expat living in Minneapolis.

I am all of those things and probably more. At the heart of it though, I am someone who really likes learning, exploring, and thinking.  And that’s what I’m striving to do on this site: learn, explore, and think.  Just publicly.  On the internet.  Which is equal parts exhilarating and terrifying.

If you’re here it’s probably because you know me in what we call “real life”, or maybe you’ve heard of me from someone and what to see what my deal is, or maybe ye great search engine led you here because you have no connection to me at all, except that my explorings are a common interest.

Whatever brought you here, welcome!  Pull up a proverbial chair. Make yourself comfortable.  Lets chat.
